Students from TIPSGLOBAL Health steam took up a field visit trip to Pricol limited. The aim of our visit was to observe various organizational structures and their working style. We were taken around by one of the C.E.O of Pricol. His inputs and information was vital to aid students understanding. The Pricol Ltd started in 1974. There are 6 plants in India and 3 International plants. Pricol Ltd was the flagship company, a tier 1 supplier to Automotive OEM’s with over 45% market share in the Indian instrument cluster business. The vision of Pricol Technologies, “passion to perform at the best levels of competency is ingrained in each of our minds. Our core values form the foundation upon which we operate, create sustainable solutions, deliver business value and offer relentless support to organizations to build strong and lasting products.” Driver information system and vehicle tracking system are the two important systems in this organization. They understood customer satisfaction in a technical way. Even they can come up with new product and release within 3 months’ time. These were the special qualities of Pricol. Value system and quality were the factors that differentiate Pricol from its competitors. The business development team includes house of quality, research and development, manufacturing team, production team and quality control. Organizational structure is explained below: # MANAGING DIRECTOR # President > Chief technical officer > Chief quality control officer > Chief marketing officer # Other workers Pricol Limited has a turnover of about 1000 millions. Their recruitment was from top colleges such as IIT, NIT, etc. There is no fault forward production and zero parts per million (ppm) was their target. They involved in CSR activity of saving water named “Siruthuli”. The field trip was so informative and useful. We gathered information on organizational structure and legal ethics followed by Pricol limited.
